If you’ve spent any time on our TikTok, you’ve already met the star of the show: my cat, appropriately named Mouse. And if you’ve seen our latest video, you’ve witnessed her absolute, undivided obsession with her newest favorite toy: Wool Cat Mice from Feltcave.
I’m not just writing this because I need to fill blog space. I’m writing this because I have genuinely never found a toy that captivates my quirky girl quite like these little handmade felt mice. I am a convert, and I need to tell you why.

What Are They?
The Feltcave Wool Cat Mice are a set of adorable, handcrafted toys made from 100% wool felt. They are stuffed with a natural fiber filling and catnip, and feature charming little details like embroidered eyes and noses (so no dangerous plastic bits!). They have a wonderful, rustic texture that seems to trigger every single one of a cat’s natural hunting instincts.
Why My Cat (And Probably Yours) Will Love Them
After testing these for weeks, here’s why I think they’re a home-run:
- The Texture is Irresistible: The wool felt has a unique grabby texture that cats love to sink their claws and teeth into. It’s satisfying in a way that smooth plastic or crinkly Mylar just isn’t. Mouse will happily bunny-kick and “destroy” these for ages.
- Premium, Enticing Catnip: These aren’t lightly dusted; they are packed with high-quality, potent catnip. The moment I opened the bag, Mouse came running from two rooms away. The scent is strong and lasting, even after weeks of play.
- Safe and Durable: The handmade construction and natural materials mean they are built to withstand a serious thrashing. The embroidered features mean I never have to worry about her ingesting a plastic eye.
- The Perfect Size and Weight: They are lightweight enough for her to bat and carry around the house (she often “shows them off” by dropping them at our feet), but have enough heft to be satisfying to chase when thrown.
